The new musical Moulin Rouge in London from Autumn 2021

Baz Luhrmann's revolutionary film remixed in a new musical extravaganza comes to life onstage in London's West End from November 2021.

Musical written by John Logan, with additional lyrics by Justin Levine, based on Baz Luhrmann's 2001 movie written by Baz Luhrmann and Craig Pearce.

The cast features Jamie Bogyo as 'Christian', Liisi LaFontaine as 'Satine', Tanisha Spring as 'Alternate Satine', Simon Bailey as 'The Duke', Jason Pennycooke as 'Toulouse-Lautrec', Clive Carter as 'Harold Zidler', Elia Lo Tauro as 'Santiago', Johnny Bishop as 'Baby Doll', Sophie Carmen Jones as 'Nini', Timmika Ramsay as 'La Chocolat', Zoe Birkett as 'Arabia', Amy Thornton, Anthony Cragg, Ciro Lourencio Meulens, Craig Ryder, Femi Akinfolarin, Ian Carlyle, Jonathan Cordin, Katie Ella Dunsden, Katie Singh, Lily Wang, Luke Jackson, Melissa Nettleford, Robson Broad, Tinovimbanashe Sibanda, Toyan Thomas-Browne, Adam Gillian, Alicia Mencía, Georgia Morgan, Ian Oswald, Jon Tsouras, Misty May Tindall, Ope Sowande, and Tommy Wade-Smith. The X-Factor Musical at the London Palladium in 2014; 'Lieutenant Torasso'/'Ludovic' in Jamie Lloyd's revival of Stephen Sondheim's Passion at the Donmar Warehouse in 2010; and the ensemble in David Freeman's production of Gerard Presgurvic and Don Black's Romeo And Juliet The Musical at the Piccadilly Theatre in 2002.

Jason Pennycooke's London theatre credits include 'Bobby' in Christopher Ashley's production of the David Bryan and Joe DiPietro musical Memphis at the Shaftesbury Theatre in 2014; 'Paul' in Trevor Nunn's revival of Cole Porter's Kiss Me, Kate at the Old Vic Theatre in 2012; 'Jacob' in Terry Johnson's revival of Jerry Herman's La Cage aux Folles at the Menier Chocolate Factor in 2007, and transfer to the West End's Playhouse Theatre in 2008; 'Admiral'/'Eros' in Clint Dyer's production of the Paul Joseph and Paul Sirett musical Big Life at the Theatre Royal Stratford East in 2004 and 2005, and transfer to the West End's Apollo Theatre in 2005; 'Benny' in Paul Kerryson's revival of Jonathan Larson's Rent at the Prince of Wales Theatre in 2001 and 2002; and the ensemble cast in Mark Clements' production of the Michael Vivian and Mark Clements musical Soul Train at the Victoria Palace Theatre 1999.
