In a flat in Peckham, Boy, a wannabe playwright, and Babe, his sister and an aspiring actress, are obsessed with Noel Coward and Gertrude Lawrence - so much as that they live out their lives pretending to be them. But can Boy interest the actor-knight Sir in his Noel Coward inspired play Public Death.

The cast featured Ian McKellen as 'Boy', Janet Suzman as 'Babe' and Nigel Davenport as 'Sir'.
