The West End Premiere of Richard Gadd's Baby Reindeer in London for a strictly limited season
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 situation, this production was cancelled. It is hoped that once restrictions have been eased that this production will announce new dates.
When Richard Gadd offers a stranger a free cup of tea, he has no sense of the nightmare to come. One act of kindness. Six years of torment.
"I felt sorry for you. That's the first feeling I felt, but after 41,071 emails, 350 hours of voicemail, 744 tweets, 46 Facebook messages, 3 fake Facebook accounts, 106 pages of letters, some sleeping pills, a woolly hat, a pair of brand new boxer shorts, I don't feel sorry for you anymore."
A chilling personal narrative exploring obsession, delusion, and the aftermath of a chance encounter.
Plese note that this production contains strong language/swearing, and language of a sexual nature.
Written and performed by Richard Gadd.
Directed by Jon Brittain, with movement by Jennifer Jackson, designs by Cecilia Carey, video by Ben Bull, lighting by Peter Small, and sound by Keegan Curran.
This production transfers to the West End following acclaimed runs at Edinburgh's Summerhall - previewed from 31 July 2019, opened on 3 August 2019, and closed on 25 August 2019 - as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and at London's Bush Theatre - previewed from 9 October 2019, opened on 11 October 2019, and closed on 9 November 2019.
Jon Brittain's London theatre credits include Rotterdam at the Arts Theatre in 2017.
