York Ice Skating Rink - Ice Factor

This year at the York Ice Rink skaters will be able to glide around an illuminated oak tree in the centre of the 600 square metre REAL ice skating rink, overlooked by the spectacular facades of 13th Century Clifford’s Tower, the Law Courts and the Castle Museum, right in the centre of historic York.

The York Ice Rink at The Ice Factor will be even more festive with York's biggest Christmas tree, log cabins decked with greenery, and theatrical lighting. At night, the ice rink will positively sparkle with its floodlit surroundings and the numerous Christmas trees and cabins around the rink garlanded with lights too.

Located right beside the ice rink will be the the glass-fronted, heated Ice Bar and Café that will be the ideal spot for those who don't wish to skate but want to watch the fun outside. And if you've been on the ice for some skating it will be the perfect place to either warm up or cool down - depending on how energetic you've been!

Please note that the Ice Skating Rink in York at The Ice Factor is open air and can operate in nearly all weather conditions. Therefore please bring suitable outdoor clothing with you. No refunds can be given due to inclement weather. In the unlikely event that the Event Manager deems it necessary to close the ice rink, alternative sessions will be offered for skating, subject to availability.

Skate hire is included in the price of the ticket and ice skates are available in sizes from child size 9 through to adult size 15. Please arrive at least ten minutes before your session to allow time to obtain your skates and put them on.
