Day out with Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends invites children, parents, and grandparents to enter the magical world of Thomas and Friends at heritage railways throughout the UK. Family visitors to these popular activity-filled events can meet, touch, and ride behind their favourite Number 1 Blue Engine. ‘Sir Topham Hatt, The Fat Controller’, is also in attendance at all events to ensure that the engines are behaving well and that Thomas is being really useful.

Thomas and Friends Live! On Stage in 'Thomas Saves the Day' in 2008. On the tracks of a train and through the words of a story, the magical world of Sodor comes to life live on the theatrical stage nationwide from March to June 2008.

This all-new 90-minute interactive musical adventure includes new railway themed songs and tells the story of Thomas and his engine friends as they work together as 'Really Useful Engines' to get the railroad ready for Sodor's Magic Lantern Festival. Come along with the whole family and join Thomas, Percy and Diesel, among others as they share a story that helps encourage life lessons such as discovery, friendship and cooperation.
