Swan Lake on Ice

The world's leading theatrical ice skating company, The Imperial Ice Stars, returns to the UK with a dazzling brand new production - Swan Lake on Ice which tours the UK from October 2006.

"Elegant, sophisticated, stylish and, above all, supremely accomplished" The Daily Telegraph

The timeless story of Swan Lake, which is performed to Tchaikovsky's glorious music, tells the tale of Prince Siegfried, who falls in love with Odette, a woman transformed into a swan by an evil curse. Odette is destined to remain a strange composite creature, until rescued by a man's undying love. Only the evil Rothbart and his daughter, the black swan Odile, stand in her way of release from the curse.

Olga Sharutenko, star of the recent TV show Dancing On Ice plays the role of 'Odette', leading a 25-strong cast of World, European and National Championship skaters, who between them have won over 200 competition medals.

"If blood-stirring, bravura skating is what you're after, look no further" The Times

The Imperial Ice Stars beautifully portray the story of Swan Lake and are destined to thrill audiences with their skill and sublime acrobatic dexterity. The production showcases stunning Olympic-level skating in the intimacy of the theatre breathtaking triple flips, awe-inspiring aerial gymnastics, double axels, death spirals, bielmanns, triple throw axels and spectacular high speed lifts, unique to the Imperial Ice Starsı performance.

Swan Lake On Ice comes to the UK straight from a sell-out tour of Australia and New Zealand, as part of an 80-week world tour, which will also take in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Africa, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the USA.
