The Sound of Music

This lavish and critically acclaimed production of the world's best loved musical, The Sound of Music, comes direct from the London Palladium. The Sound of Music tells the story of the Von Trapp family's flight across the mountains and works its magic once again, for young and old alike. With its unforgettable score that includes some of the most memorable songs ever performed on the musical stage including My Favorite Things, Do-Re-Mi, Climb Ev'ry Mountain, The Lonely Goatherd, and of course the glorious title song The Sound of Music, it's the perfect family treat!

Andrew Lloyd Webber's production of The Sound of Music opened at the London Palladium in November 2006 and run until February 2009.

The Sound of Music has music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, with a book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse, suggested by 'The Trapp Family Singers' by Maria Augusta Trapp. This production of The Sound of Music is directed by Jeremy Sams, with choreography by Arlene Phillips, designs by Robert Jones, sound by Mick Potter and lighting by Mark Henderson. Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Sound of Music revival directed by Jeremy Sams opened at The London Palladium in November 2006 and closed on 21 February 2009 after 954 performances having been seen by nearly two million people. The Sound of Music originally premiered on Broadway in 1959, when it won six Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The show first opened in London in 1961 when it enjoyed a record-breaking run. The 1965 Hollywood film, which starred Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer, won five Oscars, including Best Picture.
