Holiday on Ice 2008: Romanza

The Holiday On Ice 2008 show is called Romanza. This latest dynamic production from the world famous Holiday on Ice is sure to set hearts on fire this winter, taking audiences on a journey through some of the most romantic stories from past to present day. Joining the UK cast of Holiday on Ice Romanza is former England Rugby International Kyran Bracken. Kyran was the winner of ITV1's smash hit show Dancing on Ice and went on be crowned 'Champion of Champions' in a special edition of the show.

Holiday on Ice 2008 Romanza uses both dance and theatrical techniques to create this retro and upbeat, artistically choreographed production. Featuring cultural classics such as Madame Butterfly; Romeo and Juliet; and Anthony and Cleopatra; together with modern day couples such as Sandy and Danny from Grease, Baby and Johnny from Dirty Dancing and even Barbie and Ken; Holiday on Ice Romanza is sure to have audiences dancing in their seats to the powerful soundtrack packed with popular music numbers!

Beautifully told through the skilful skating of 46 international, world-class skaters, Holday on Ice Romanza uses breathtaking solo numbers, elegant pair skating and exhilarating ensemble pieces to shock, surprise and entertain. Dramatic sets, exquisite costumes and innovative lighting form the backdrop to a visual feast on the ice and in the air, with flying, fire and death defying magic!

Joining the UK cast of Holiday on Ice Romanza is former England Rugby International Kyran Bracken. Kyran was the winner of ITV1's smash hit show Dancing on Ice. Along with Kyran Bracken, the show will was feature Nina Ulanova & Martin Simecek Nina is from Moscow and began skating at the age of four. She has won the Russian and the World Junior Championships, along with many other gold medals in international competitions. Martin, meanwhile, has been Czech National Champion no less than nine times and has competed in three Winter Olympics; Sherri Kennedy-Borowiecka & Slawomir Borowiecki Husband and wife couple, Sherri from Canada and Slawomir from Poland from a beautiful double act on the ice. Top seed skater, Slawomir was among the top 4 in the World Junior Championships in pair skating. Sherri & Slawomir stared in the Holiday on Ice show Hollywood; Alicia Cavanaugh At just 25 years old, Alicia has already won the New England Ladies Championship, represented the United States and starred in a string of Ice Shows in America, Mexico and Europe. She has built up a reputation as an elegant, graceful skater, best known for her balletic performances; Gabriel Monnier Gabriel's own natural ability and love of the sport meant skating beacame his fulltime career. In 2002 he won a gold medal in the French Skating Championships; Igor Lyutikov This talented skater spent many years in the Russian National Junior Team. After his successes at a young age, he managed to get to the top and became National Figure Skating Champion. This competition marked the start of his professional skating career; Tiffany Sfikas & Bert Cording Tiffany has competed in various championships. She was twice the British Champion in 2000 and 2001 in pair skating and has spent time in the USA as a coach and choreographer. Bert Cording has accumulated many gold medals in championships and has many years experience as a performer in different ice shows; Michael Turner Michael has competed in many skating championships including regional, junior and National championships which resulted in 3 gold and 2 silver medals; and Ashley Clark American born Ashley deferred her acceptance to university to compete in ice skating championships, where she rated Gold in both the Senior Free Skate and Senior Moves in the Field. Fantasy promises to be one of the most exhilarating Holiday on Ice shows ever. This all new Holiday on Ice production promises to dazzle you with sensational music, fabulous costumes and breathtaking choreography! Holiday on Ice Fantasy has been created by Anthony van Laast and choreographed by former UK Olympic Skating Champion Robin Cousins. The show boasts Olympic standard figure skating from 49 international skaters, incredible stunts and magic tricks and energetic acrobatics both on and above the ice. The amazing talent of the skating cast is complemented by stunning choreography, spectacular light effects and exquisite costumes - all of which combine to create a fantastic ice spectacle that audiences cannot help but adore!

This 2007 Holiday on Ice production had been due to visit the Norfolk Showground Exhibition and Events Centre from Thursday 1 to Sunday 11 February 2007, but this was unfortunately cancelled.
