In the musical We Will Rock You Ben Elton has fashioned a hilarious, futuristic comedy around more than 24 of Queen's biggest hit songs, delivering a show that boasts the scale and spectacle that marked Queen's live performances. Ben elton says: "This show is all about legend. We take the legend of Queen and create our own fantastical story of young kids battling the mighty corporations who want to suppress their individuality and their love of music. They need a hero who can help them in their struggle, and we have two - the dreamer Galileo and his sassy sidekick Scaramouche. Guess who ends up winning?" We Will Rock You comes to the Edinburgh Playhouse Theatre as part of a major National Tour. Expect your favourite Queen songs including We Are The Champions; Another One Bites The Dust; We Will Rock You; and, of course, Bohemian Rhapsody.

This lavish production celebrates the 50th anniversary of Motown, the record label that brought the likes of the the Jackson 5, the Temptations, the Four Tops, the Supremes, Diana Ross, Mary Wells, Lionel Richie, Martha Reeves, Smokey Robinson, the Isley Brothers, Marvin Gaye and many more. A talented cast of 15 bring to life hits while, due to public demand, forthcoming dates for shows will include a special extended tribute to the Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson.

We've followed Agnes Brown through many family traumas in the Mrs Brown trilogy of the Last Wedding, Good Mourning Mrs Brown and Mrs Brown Rides Again. Well now it's time for part four of the trilogy with the brand spanking new For The Love of Mrs Brown. Having discovered the internet, Agnes Brown accidentally sets up a date with a man she only knows as HairyHarry25. Despite some of her family's protests, Agnes is determined to see her date through. We follow Agnes as she prepares for her 'big date'. Her preparations include learning all over again how to date a man – but this time in the 21st century, where men expect rather more from a first date than they did in her day. Is it a case of 'Love is in the air', or will Hairy Harry be sent flying? Following its smash hit tour of the United States, a hugely successful West End season at London's Palace Theatre, and, of course, the original 2001 UK tour which smashed box-office records across the country, Bill Kenwright's critically acclaimed production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Jim Steinman’s Whistle Down the Wind is set to thrill audiences once again as it embarks on a national tour in 2010 which comes to Edinburgh's Playhouse Theatre in March. In a twist of fate the bright-eyed and youthful Swallow discovers a mysterious man hiding in her family’s barn. When she asks for his identity the first words he utters are 'Jesus Christ'... and it's as though her prayers have been answered. While the rest of the townspeople are searching for a fugitive escaped from jail, Swallow gathers the town's children who make a pact to protect their new found saviour from the cruelties of the outside world. Whistle Down the Wind has music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Jim Steinman and is based on the original novel by Mary Hayley Bell and the film produced by Richard Attenborough and directed by Bryan Forbes from a screenplay by Keith Waterhouse and Willis Hall, with book by Patricia Knop, Gale Edwards and Andrew Lloyd Webber. This production is directed by Bill Kenwright.

Born in Brooklyn, the son of a taxi-driver, Sedaka started songwriting at Broadway's legendary Brill Building, penning his first hit, Oh Carol, for his then girlfriend, Carole King. He went on to become a teenage idol to rival Elvis but in 1964 his career collapsed as America embraced the Beatles and other bands of the so-called 'British Invasion'. For almost a decade, he struggled to support his wife, Leba, and their two children but found salvation in moving to Britain, where he signed to Elton John's Rocket Records label, and remarkably returned to the top of the US charts in 1974 with 'Laughter In The Rain' - remaining a national treasure there as well as in the UK ever since. Now Laughter in The Rain brings the Neil Sedaka's remarkable story of triumph against the odds alive on stage.
