Disney's Beauty and The Beast

A Tale As Old As Time...

Adapted from the Oscar winning animated feature film, Disney's Beauty and The Beast is the story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial French town and of the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped in a spell by an evil enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity...

Seen by over 25 million people, Beauty and The Beast is one of the biggest musicals of all time. Nominated for nine Tony awards including Best Musical, this eye-popping musical has been wowing audiences world-wide with record breaking runs in New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Sydney, Tokyo, and London's West End where it enjoyed a 2½ year run.

Disney's Beauty and The Beast has music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice and book by Linda Woolverton.

"Disney extravaganza a must for everyone. Bright, bold and very loud, and that just describes the costumes! The musical extravaganza is a real romp from start to finish. We were treated to song after song of precision choreography, strong singing and a raw energy that leapt from the stage. The songs keep coming thick and fast, and even just sat watching leaves you feeling breathless by the end." The Derby Trader
