42nd Street

A major revival of the classic musical comedy 42nd Street - the timeless, inspiring tale of small town Peggy Sawyer's rise from chorine to Broadway star - is coming to a town near you in 2007.

Now you can relive the excitement of the classic backstage musical live on stage - featuring the songs We're in the Money, Lullaby of Broadway, Shuffle Off To Buffalo, Keep Young and Beautiful, I Only Have Eyes For You and, ofcourse, the spectacular title number, danced down a flight of steps that lights up as brightly as the faces of the cast.

This production of 42nd Street stars Paul Nicholas as 'Julian Marsh' and is directed by the show's author and Broadway Director Mark Bramble. The show also features the stunning sets and costumes from the US production. Please Note: Dave Willetts replaces Paul Nicholas as 'Julian Marsh' at The Stoke Regent Theatre, The Sunderland Empire Theatre, The Edinburgh Playhouse Theatre, The Manchester Opera House, The Woking New Victoria Theatre, The Milton Keynes Theatre and The Bradford Alhambra Theatre. Tim Flavin will replace Paul Nicholas as 'Julian Marsh' at The Cardiff New Theatre, The Plymouth Theatre Royal, The Aberdeen His Majesty's Theatre, The Glasgow Kings Theatre, The Rhyl Pavilion Theatre and The Sheffield Lyceum Theatre. Stephen McGann will replace Paul Nicholas as 'Julian Marsh' at The Southampton Mayflower Theatre, The High Wycombe Swan Theatre and The Wimbledon New Theatre. (Casting subject to change).
