The Worst Witch

A major stage production of Jill Murphy's The Worst Witch in London for a strictly limited Summer holiday season

Miss Cackle's Academy for Witches is now accepting new students... Mildred Hubble is just an ordinary girl who found herself in an extraordinary place: a school for witches. But not everyone is thrilled by Mildred's unexpected arrival and her less than predictable ways. Can she overcome the objections of stern Miss Hardbroom and the conniving tricks of jealous Ethel Hallow? Now in her final year, accident-prone Mildred and her fellow pupils are about to embark on their most important mission yet, when an old enemy returns with a plan for revenge that threatens not just the Academy, but the whole world...

This action-packed new stage adaptation includes original songs, music, magic and a dose of Mildred’s unique brand of utter pandemonium! This production comes into London's West End for a Summer season following a regional tour.

The cast features Danielle Bird as 'Mildred Hubble', Rosie Abraham as 'Ethel Hallow', Molly-Grace Cutler as 'Miss Bat', Meg Forgan as 'Fenella Feverfew', Rachel Heaton as 'Miss Hardbroom', Rebecca Killick as 'Maud Spellbody', Emma Lau as 'Drusilla Paddock', Megan Leigh Mason as 'Miss Drill', Polly Lister as 'Agatha Cackle' and 'Miss Cackle', Lauryn Redding as 'Griselda Blackwood', and Consuela Rolle as 'Enid Nightshade'. Directed by Theresa Heskins with movement by Beverley Norris-Edmunds, designs by Simon Daw, puppetry by Paschale Straiton, lighting by Aideen Malone, music by Luke Potter, and sound by Leigh Davies.

Emma Reeves' West End stage adaptations include Jacqueline Wilson's Hetty Feather at the Vaudeville Theatre in 2014 and the Duke of York's Theatre in 2015; Donn Pearce's Cool Hand Luke at the Aldwych Theatre in 2011; Nina Bawden's Carrie's War at the Apollo Theatre in 2009; and Louisa May Alcott's Little Women at the Duchess Theatre in 2005.

The Worst Witch in London at the Vaudeville Theatre opens on 24 July 2019, and closes on 8 September 2019
