"The set consists of a bank of steps which the boys wander up and down while the band on either side trade licks like the session pros they are. After an underpowered opening with a medley that takes us from Willy Wonka to Phantom Of The Opera, Matt Willis kicks it up a notch with a version of Year 3000. From then on it is a pretty even-handed competition between four guys having a vocal jam session in an adoring environment. Solos follow quartets in quick succession separated by naff but brief banter. Some of the arrangements work well. Others should have been throttled at birth. Memory is robbed of its spine-chilling otherness when belted out by a quartet. Similarly the plodding version of Some Enchanted Evening made me pine for the heavily-accented delivery of Rossano Brazzi. When they get it right there are moments of glory. The boys' approach to Seal's Kiss From A Rose is spot on and their interactive harmonies give them the semblance of a real group. The finale, which inevitably relies on the heavyweight combo of Les MisÚrables and We Will RockYou (Bohemian Rhapsody), is impressively bolstered by a choir who back the boys to the hilt."
