Notes from New York present Jason Robert Brown's musical The Last 5 Years in London for a strictly limited run of seven performances.

The Last 5 Years is an emotionally wrought and moving song cycle, in which creative tensions combine with complexities of the heart. Newly published novelist Jamie and aspiring actress Cathy tell the tale of their raw and impassioned relationship in opposite directions and from differing standpoints. Unique in structure yet familiar in its universally resounding themes, this celebrated two-hander reminds us it's possible to feel claustrophobically close to and yet worlds apart from the one you hold closest to your heart.

The cast for The Last 5 Years in London features Julie Atherton as 'Cathy' and Paul Spicer as 'Jamie'. The production is directed by Amelia Sears with designs by Morgan Large, lighting by David Howe and sound by Gareth Owen and Ed Borgnis.

This fully staged production of The Last Five Years in London has been 'reconceived' especially for the Duchess Theatre following its acclaimed gala staging at the Theatre Royal Haymarket London for three performances in October 2008 - both Julie Atherton and Paul Spicer are reprising their performances. This production at the Duchess Theatre is presented along with Jonathan Larson's musical tick... tick... BOOM! from 13 to 17 May 2009.

The Last 5 Years at the Duchess Theatre in London opened on 6 May 2009 and closed on 10 May 2009.
