This is the first ever full-scale London revival of this enchanting musical. A beguiling musical fable of love, bravery and freedom, Kismet evokes the mysteries of the Orient and features the enchanting songs 'stranger in Paradise and 'Baubles, Bangles and Beads'. Joining Michael Ball will be the stunning tenor Alfie Boe (Baz Luhrmann's La Boheme), Tony Award-winner Faith Prince (Guys and Dolls), and the celebrated British soprano Sarah Tynan who will lead a huge comppany of over 125 artists in English National Opera's lavish new staging of the legendary, romantic Broadway musical. Kistmet in London is directed by Gary Griffin, with designs by Ultz, choreography by Javier De Frutos, lighting by Wolfgang Gobbel and sound by Nick Lidster. Director Gary Griffin's production of Pacific Overtures at London's Donmar Warehouse received the 2004 Olivier Award for Outstanding Musical Production. He made his Broadway debut in 2005, directing the smash-hit musical version of The Color Purple, produced by Oprah Winfrey. | |||||||
