The hit Disney show High School Musical in London from 30 June 2008!

At last, the stage show version of the hit Disney film High School Musical comes to London from 30 June 2008 for a strictly limited six week season.

Please Note: In addittion to the London production, High School Musical On Stage is also touring the UK from January 2008.

High School Musical is a contemporary musical comedy set in an American High School where we meet Troy, a popular high school basketball star, and Gabriella, a shy, academically gifted newcomer who discover they share a passion for singing. But when they sign up together to audition for the lead roles in the school musical it threatens the school rigid social order between 'the jocks' and 'the brainiacs' and sends their friends and classmates into uproar.

High School Musical originally started out as a Disney Channel Original Movie which was first broadcast in the US in January 2006, where it won two Emmy Awards for 'Outstanding Choreography' and 'Outstanding Children’s Programme'. High School Musical was broadcast in the UK eight months later in September 2006 since when the movie was been seen in over 100 countries and watched by over 70 million viewers. 1.5 million copies of the High School Musical DVD where sold within the first seven days of release – the fastest selling album in the UK in 2006, going double platinum. Following the hugh global success of the originall movie and sequel was made, High School Musical 2 and this was broadcast in the UK on 21 September 2007, and this film looks set to follow the phenomenal success of its predecessor.
