The Girl On the Train

A major stage production of Paula Hawkins' thriller The Girl on the Train in London starring Samantha Womack for a strictly limited four week season

Rachel Watson longs for a different life as each day, she looks through the train window, and see a perfect couple, happy and in love - or so it seems. But then Rachel learns that the woman she’s been secretly watching has suddenly disappeared lauching her into a thrilling mystery as she finds herself as a witness and facing bigger revelations than she could ever have anticipated.

Please note that strobe-like effects, flashing lights, smoke and haze are used at various points during the performance of this production.

Adapted from Paula Hawkins' 2015 psychological thriller The Girl on the Train - an international best seller - which has also been adapted as a film in 2016 starring Emily Blunt.

The cast features Samantha Womack as 'Rachel Watson' with Adam Jackson Smith as 'Tom Watson', Lowenna Melrose as 'Anna Watson', Kirsty Oswald as 'Megan Hipwell', Oliver Farnworth as 'Scott Hipwell', John Dougall as 'D.I Gaskill', and Naeem Hayat as 'Kamal Abdic', along with Phillipa Flynn and Matt Concannon. Casting subject to change without notice. Directed by Anthony Banks with designs by James Cotterill, costumes by Sian Harris, projections by Andrzej Goulding, lighting by Jack Knowles, and sound by Ben and Max Ringham.

Samantha Womack's West End stage credits include playing the role of 'Miss Adelaide' in Michael Grandage's revival of the Frank Loesser musical Guys and Dolls at the Piccadilly Theatre in 2006; and the role of 'Sandy' in David Gilmore's revival of the musical Grease at the Dominion Theatre in 1995.

John Dougall London stage credits include the roles of 'Brutus' and 'Lucullus' in Gregory Doran's production of Mike Poulton stage adaption of Robert Harris's Cicero Trilogy under the title of Imperium for the Royal Shakespeare Company at the Gielgud Theatre in 2018; and the role of 'Gilles de Rais, Bluebeard' in Gale Edwards' revival of George Bernard Shaw's play Saint Joan at the Strand Theatre (now Novello Theatre) in 1994. Lowenna Melrose played the role of 'Liz' in Simon Callow' revival of Christopher Hampton's play The Philanthropist at the Trafalgar Studios in 2017. Kirsty Oswald played the role of 'Phoebe Cane' in Neil Armfield's revival of David Hare's play The Judas Kiss at the Duke of York's Theatre in 2013. Oliver Farnworth played the role of 'Tony' in Nikolai Foster's revival of Jonathan Harvey's play Beautful Thing Arts Theatre in 2013, and was in the ensemble cast of David Berthold's production of Tommy Murphy stage adaptation of Tim Conigrave's Holding the Man at the Trafalgar Studios in 2010.
